Recuerdo de Sportivo Escobar en el Torneo Evita
Recordamos a los jóvenes futbolistas del Club Sportivo Escobar, que lograron el Subcampeonato en la final del Torneo Juvenil “Evita”, en Pilar en 1953. Por Alfredo Melidore (*).
Iniciamos este recuerdo, con los nombres de esa formación de jóvenes futbolistas, que allá por 1953 (hace 68 años), representando al Club Sportivo Escobar, jugaron la final del Torneo de Fútbol Juvenil “Evita”.
Parados de izquierda a derecha: “Picho” Ferrari (Director Técnico), Renne Bravo, Isidoro Butteli, Juan Carlos Romani, Eduardo Jorge Montuani, Carlos “Gato” Martín, y “Picho” Papa.
Agachados: Monti (con el botiquín), Miguel Bornia – con boina negra – (1 ) , Jorge Aranda, Juan Carlos “Tito” Bornia, Víctor Hugo ”Negro” Dulio y Héctor “Pipi” Spíndola.
La foto fue tomada en la cancha del Club Atlético Pilar, donde el representativo de Escobar perdió, con el aguerrido equipo del Instituto “Carlos Pellegrini” de la vecina localidad.
Como dato anecdótico cabe acotar que Sportivo Escobar – que lucía la clásica casaca celeste y blanca – ganaba inicialmente por 1 a 0, con un tanto logrado por el “Negro” Dulio y que minutos después Jorge Aranda marró – lamentablemente – un tiro penal, para la formación escobarense.
Luego los pilarenses dieron vuelta el resultado, alzándose con el triunfo: por 2 a 1 y se consagraron Campeones, quedando el Subcampeonato, en manos de los habilidosos representantes del Club Sportivo Escobar, que disputaron el partido con tesón y coraje, hasta el último minuto.
