En una elección atípica, donde el contexto de pandemia hizo que mermara significativamente la concurrencia a las urnas, sumado a un escaso clima de campaña. La participación electoral fue la más baja desde el regreso de la democracia: apenas 63,5%. En ese contexto solo siete listas siguen en carrera para las elecciones generales del 14 de noviembre en el distrito de Escobar. En ellas la del Frente «Vamos Con Vos» de Florencio Randazzo y que a nivel local la encabeza el analista de sistemas, ex docente y actual Secretario Administrativo del Concejo Deliberante, Ricardo Choffi.
«Estamos muy contentos y agradecidos a los vecinos y las vecinas que nos ofrecieron el voto de confianza que nos permite participar de la elección general de noviembre, aspiramos a mejorar la performance que nos permita acceder a lugares de representación», comentó confiado en candidato de Florencio Randazzo en Escobar.
«Sin duda la polarización de la grieta fue importante, notamos también un voto de descontento con el oficialismo a nivel provincial quizá motivado por una pandemia que se prolongó más de lo esperado, que afectó no solo la salud sino también la economía y la educación», analizó Choffi.
Con respecto a las novedades de esta elección acotó: «Notamos también un avance de las posturas de extrema derecha, preocupante, porque pregonan el individualismo, el sálvese quien pueda, una generación de odio permanente que nos debe llamar la atención. Debemos hacer una autocrítica aquellos que surgimos del peronismo y del campo popular. Creo que es importante la conexión con los y las jóvenes. El peronismo es una historia de amor, de solidaridad, de rebeldía con una mística que debería cautivar a la juventud. No supimos transmitirlo. Descuidamos la formación de nuevos cuadros y nuestro movimiento está envejeciendo por actitudes mezquinas de la dirigencia».
