Hace 116 años se creaba en Escobar, la Escuela Nº 7 del barrio “El Cazador»
Se fundó el 17 de marzo de 1906. Por Alfredo Melidore (*).
La actual escuela N º 7 “Mariano Moreno”, ubicada en El Cazador, que comenzó a funcionar el 17 de marzo de 1906, en una finca del inmigrante francés Claudio Vallier, en el paraje que se denominaba «Rincón del Cazador» (hoy Villa Vallier), contó inicialmente con un exiguo alumnado compuesto por ocho niños, todos ellos hijos de los chacareros y agricultores, asentados en esa zona desde muchos años antes.
La experimentada docente responsable del nuevo establecimiento, que hace 116 años ostentaba el número 15, del Partido de Pilar (al cual pertenecía Escobar) , fue la señorita Lucila Ferrando, oriunda de la provincia de Mendoza, que contaba por entonces 36 años de edad.
La señorita Ferrando inició por esa época, una tarea admirable, con tesón, esfuerzo y vocación, recorrió los campos aledaños buscando nuevos alumnos, entre los jóvenes más remisos a concurrir a clases.
Ella sabía que la educación, era uno de los pilares principales, sobre los que se basaba la tarea de mejorar la calidad de vida, y que esa tarea comunitaria por excelencia, sería primordial para el futuro de la sociedad argentina.
Una prueba de ello, es que pocos días después de su apertura, el 31 de marzo, la escuela tenía una inscripción de 37 alumnos (17 varones y 20 niñas), y para noviembre, con la finalización del ciclo anual, los alumnos sumaban el número de 46.
Luego, con los años, llegarían otras docentes a prestar servicio en este establecimiento, tal el caso de Josefina Márquez (en 1911) y de Ana Larghi, quien se desempeñó desde 1914 hasta 1918.
Y fue en ese año de 1918, cuando asumió el cargo de directora la recordada docente, Angélica Dolores Custodia Serantes de Alvarez ( 1 ), quien abrió rumbos con su gestión ejemplar en la diaria lucha del aula.
Hasta aquí, los nombres de algunas de las pioneras educadoras que ejercieron en este establecimiento.
Como aporte final, podemos agregar que a mediados de la década de 1940 la escuela se trasladó a su edificio propio (ver foto), en la actual calle Albert Schweitzer, entre Rubén Darío y Horacio Quiroga del barrio “El Cazador”, que aún se conserva con notables mejoras, muchas de ellas llevadas a cabo en los últimos treinta años, materializadas en sucesivas ampliaciones, que fueron pertinentes realizar para albergar la gran cantidad de alumnos que debe alojar en estos tiempos, siempre al servicio de la educación en esa poblada zona de nuestro distrito.
= = La documentada fotografía que publicamos, nos muestra a nuestra apreciada amiga, la docente Marta Graciela Scalese – hoy radicada en Entre Ríos – junto a un grupo de alumnos de 6to. Grado, en 1962, en este más que centenario establecimiento educativo.
( 1 ) – – En nuestros días, una calle de Escobar, lleva el nombre de doña Angélica Serantes de Alvarez ( ver foto ) , como homenaje a su infatigable labor como docente, en las primeras décadas del pasado siglo, en distintas escuelas escobarenses.
