Renovación integral de vías tras nueve meses de trabajo
Ayer se realizó el recorrido de reconocimiento, luego de realizada la obra de renovación integral de vías entre las estaciones Matheu y Los Cardales. La obra se enmarca en el Plan de recuperación del ramal Victoria – Capilla del Señor – Pergamino.
Cabe recordar que a mediados del 2019 el mencionado trayecto estaba al borde del cierre definitivo.
La actual gestión, se hizo cargo de un ramal que se encontraba en pésimas condiciones, y «tomó la firme decisión de invertir para recuperarlo», subrayaron desde la línea Mitre.
Los trabajos consistieron en primer lugar por desarmar completamente la vía existente y nivelar el terreno.
Después de nueve meses de iniciada la obra de renovación total de infraestructura ferroviaria, se colocaron un total de 31.000 nuevos durmientes de hormigón pretensado, 40.000 metros de rieles, 6.000 toneladas de piedra balasto, y fijaciones elásticas, en un tramo de 17 km, incluyendo 3 desvíos de cruce en las estaciones Matheu, Zelaya y Los Cardales. En el caso de Zelaya, el desvió fue repuesto luego de 20 años.
Mediante esta obra, se intenta duplicar holgadamente la velocidad que tiene el ramal en toda su extensión hoy en día, optimizar la seguridad y reducir en 20 minutos el tiempo total de viaje, y favorecer la conectividad entre Escobar, Pilar y Exaltación de la Cruz en menos de 30 minutos.
El gerente de la línea Mitre, Ivan Kildoff, expresó su satisfacción y remarcó que “Con mucho esfuerzo y compromiso de los trabajadores, la empresa Trenes Argentinos continúa mejorando el ramal Victoria – Capilla del Señor, que supo ser un ramal que transportaba muchísima gente. El gran desafío es recuperar el público, a partir de hacer que el tren sea un medio de transporte competitivo, confiable, confortable y seguro. El próximo sector a renovar, comprende el tramo El Talar – Matheu.
“Con todas las obras previstas, no sólo los pasajeros viajarán de manera más segura sino que además se podrá aumentar al doble la velocidad de circulación, disminuyendo notablemente los tiempos de viaje”, mencionaron desde la línea Mitre.
